Gunung Stong

Gunung Stong State Park (GSSP) is a forested area, totaling 21,950ha with several prominent mountain peaks. The area is of outstanding beauty and is home to one of the highest waterfalls in Malaysia, Jelawang Waterfall

The rugged landscape of GSSP offers many exciting adventures for anyone who loves nature and the great outdoors. GSSP not only has important eco-tourism values but also serves as a significant conservation area with richflora and fauna diversity.

There is a few places of interest at Gunung Stong State Park like the Jelawang Waterfall, an impressive seven-tier waterfall is one of the highest waterfalls in Malaysia. Bogo Rock Shelter, a cave-like formation, is a suitable resting point on the way to the summit of Gunung Stong, which can be reached within four hours of trekking

The best way to enter the interiors of Kelantan and, at the same time, get a first-hand look at the typical village life, is to take the KTM train – once romantically known as the Jungle Train in the spirit of adventure and exploration – right through the state.

One of the stops along the way is in the quaint village of Dabong, about 155 kilometers from Kota Bharu, the state capital. Dabong lies in the area dedicated as GSSP and is situated on the fringes of Malaysia’s massive Titiwangsa range.

Ooty is a town, a municipality and the district capital of the Nilgiris district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Ootacamund is a popular hill station located in the Nilgiri Hills. Originally occupied by the Todas, the area came under the rule of the East India Company at the end of the 18th century. Today the town's economy is based on tourism and agriculture, with manufacturing of medicines and photographic film also present.

A wax museum that houses life-size look-alike wax statues of personalities of Indian history, culture and heritage housed in a 142-year-old bungalow.

Statues of freedom fighters like Gokhale and Tilak, of world figures like Mahatma Gandhi and Mother Teresa, father of India’s missile program and our former President, Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam… the list is endless.

Plots depicting the life in a typical Indian village and such add color to the already colorful Wax World. A lot of work has gone into the conceptualization and the actual building of the museum, so also in the maintenance of the museum.
